I got all this for $20. The two razors are in very good shape. No bent parts. Completely functional. The Old Spice mug and bottle are for decoration. I'm going to try and transfer "new" Old Spice into the bottle. I'll use the mug to hold blades, styptic, alum, etc.
Overall I'm very pleased with my first find.

Nice find! You may want to reconsider storing blades AND alum/styptic in the same container. There are other threads that mention that storing your alum and metal together will increase corrosion.

I'm cleaning it up and then I'm going to find some blades. Got a good source?

CVS and Walgreens both sell the Single Edge Gem blades.
A bit more expensive than DE.

That mug can be your soap/cream lathering mug. I have one and it works well for that purpose.

I've been told that those mugs really aren't suited for creams as well as they are for soap pucks.

Which version of the 1912 is that SE?
+1 on the personna/gem blades at walgreens. I use the heck out of them.
Enjoy you catch!

Nice score! I love those Old Spice shaving mugs. Something about that ship on the side sends me off to work in a good mood.

$20 for all that? Not bad!
Very nice score. If I am not mistaken that is a mug from the first year of production.

Yup. The first year of the glass mugs made by Wheaton. The absence of the internal ribbing verifies that fact. Earlier pottery mugs were made by Hull, though.

I have no idea. I'm new to SEs. I don't find any numbers on it. It says
GEM
Junior
on the back, and
GEM
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
MADE IN USA
under the lid.
Also it is all brass. Doesn't look like it was ever plated.

I love those Old Spice bottles. I think that was a great packaging idea, timeless.

based on the info, that makes it a post 1919 model gem jr. w/ the knurled handle. most likely came in the set labled "parade".

sweet...love that OLD old spice look
I've found all of my equipment, excepting my strop at junk shops or at junk shop prices on fleabay. A lot of this older equipment is perfectly salvageable, and I personally get e little extra satisfaction of shaving with these historical products. Great finds!

Great finds.
Press a Tabac puck in that mug and enjoy. I have 4 Old Spice mugs clanking around under my sink with various soaps. Perfect.
