This is for a SRP forum member. Thought I would post it for those of you who don't visit over there.
This one is a W&B American Razor. The scales are Amboyna Burl and Maple with black liner and finished with CA. I added a little faux 3rd pin with a small abalone dot. Turquoise wedge. The blade had pretty bad wear and but it came out pretty good. I hope the new ower enjoys it!!

Very nice work. Somebody is going to be a happy camper!
What method do you use to hold the 3 pieces of wood together?

Thanks!! I use a scroll saw to cut then epoxy them together with T-88 and then put the liner on.

That looks incredible! If your SRP guy doesn't like it, I'll be glad to take it off your hands .
I'm just getting into restorations, and I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind...
What did you use for the liner? You said it is black, but I am curious. How necessary are liners, anyway?
Also, how difficult is it to work with Abalone/MOP? I had some ideas about using some of that in the future (not too immediate future), but I have never worked with it before.

This is the kind of razor that could convert me to Straight Razors. That combination on the scales is simply fantastic!

!!!
I love Amboyna Burl; easily my favorite wood for scales. Out of all the woods available, AB is my favorite, without a doubt. Just in case I didn't mention it already, Amboyna Burl is the king of woods.
Stunning, awesome work. Your one in your avatar was drop-dead gorgeous, as well.

Simply stunning!
I tried to get him to send it to the owner by way of my address but he thought the delay might be a little too long.
Really, really nice work! It is this kind of attention to detail that is the mark of a craftsman.
