Hello gentleman,

I am in need of a bit of help. The subject matter is sidebags. I'm trying to find a decently priced one (<100$), beige-brown color that is of slim size and good quality. I don't want anything that seems too big since it will be holding maybe a notebook and the occasional portfolio (big heavy folders). Also, it shouldn't be anything fancy or flashy.

Does anyone have a good idea of any sidebags that meet these requirements?

I've been looking around at a few stores but couldn't find anything that met these reuqirements.

Thank you for any input!

'sidebag' isn't a term I've come across before ... :confused::confused:

... maybe you are thinking along the lines of the bags discussed in this thread? http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=108246

Jack Pack, Go bag, Satchel of Doom; man purse or murse feels cliche now.

Ah, my apologies. I wasn't sure what to call it either. I guess Satchel would be the best term to use (man purse would be the worst).

I'm a huge fan of Timbuk2. I own two of their bags (one larger that holds a laptop + extras, and one smaller that's just laptop and that's it) and have been extremely satisfied with both of them.

It may not be exactly the style you're looking for but if you ever see one realize they are built well and designed for function. For some of their lines the desired function is more of a "bike messenger" type deal, but they make other bags as well.

Anyway, my 2 cents.
