Just some scales. The thumbnotc'll go on a Bengall and the "Spanish Point" as I dubbed it will go on a W&B Wedge. They are Gabon Ebony.

Those look impressive. Can we see them all mounted up?

Thx r0ckrat ;)

The notched is going on a Bengall that is still in the queue, and the straight may go on a Henckels Twin Works, I'm not quite sure yet :)

Yes, it actually was local (relatively, lol).

My nearest woodcraft was in Dublin. I'm sure that there is one in Sac... But they had it in stock, as well as lots of other species. They also carried some 1/8" stock of several specieswhich was nice.

I got a 2"2"12" piece for around $30

Yeah, there is one here, about 5 blocks away from me.

I was hoping that you had sourced a 1/8 inch sheet, but I guess not. :frown:
Anyhoo, I guess I can try cutting a 2x2 chunk down.

I really like the double pins on the "spanish point". Looks great on that heavy blade, too. Great looking scales, all of them!

Cool :) I think that I will actuall order from http://www.bellforestproducts.com/ as their prices are a bit better than woodcrafts.

Thanks jadam :) I actually renamed the "Spanish Point" scales to "Falchion Point" scales as that is a more accurate basis...
