I've got a 1951 Gillette Superspeed Safety Razor and a 1957 Gillette Superspeed Saftey Razor that I am interested in getting restored. Does anyone have any recommendations of U.S. shops/places that can provide good restoration in a timely manner?

what do they need in terms of restoration?
i'm wondering if it wouldn't be less costly just to buy pristine examples of the same razors you have - mint versions aren't terribly expensive
are you talking about plating?

How can you tell the year of manufacture of the razors? Are there dates or date codes stamped on the razor bodies?

Bob, there's a dating chart over in the wiki (http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/US_Gillette_Dating_Information). Hope that helps.
