I picked up a W&B 5/8, cleaned it up, took it to the polishing wheel and am now stuck choosing what scales to go with.
Choices:
1. Black Water Buffalo Horn
2. Leopard Wood
3. Curly Nara
4. Olive Wood
6. Cocobolo
7. Camphor Burl
8. Red Wood Burl
9. Blood red mirrored acrylic
Thank you all.

You have a picture of your W&B?
Is it a wedge? hollow? barbers notch? ...
I've rescaled them in different materials.

Hm... Based on the pic of the razor I would go for something simple. Olivewood wood be my choice out of your list, and maybe leopardwood or cocobolo.

In actually ended up going with buffalo horn. I found two old combs that matched in color and the rest is history. I left imperfections on the handle to mimic the original scales and those on the blade that were too deep to sand off.

My folks are taking a trip to Mexico in the fall and they are bringing back some ivory and tortoise. ( there is a nice open market in Morelos where there is a nice amount of antiques that can be salvaged for scales.)
