This sauce is in the Kansas city style, tomato-y and sweet. Use it as a finishing sauce or a dipping sauce.

This recipe is just a place to start, make it your own.

24 ounce tomato paste
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 cup honey
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp Dry mustard
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp granulated onion
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp Cayenne pepper or to taste
1 ground bay leaf
Mix together and simmer for 30 minutes. A stick blender is a great aid in blending the sauce, makes about 10 cups.
