Semi Custom - LRH Blade Blank Project

So, I posted this at SRP but I thought I would share here too. I had Butch grind me up one of his blade blanks and when it arrived I was just shocked at how big of a blade it is. It is absolutely massive. Truly Awesome. It is over 7/8" Wedge with a 3" long cutting edge.

So, this thing is not traditionally shaped, which I love, so I wanted to do some very non-traditional scales and here is what I came up with. Blue Paua/Acrylic with black backing and a Pearl Acrylic Wedge.

I'm not usually a fan of really unconventional scales, but these are gorgeous. Fantastic lines. The scales manage to be extreme and elegant at the same time, a curious combo. You have a very good eye! And the paua is, of course, beautiful. :thumbup1:
