I have never in my life owned a really nice hairbrush, so I figured that I should get one while I still have hair to brush  . I know Kent military brushes are supposed to be the best, I just don't want to fork over $100 if the Swissco ones are just as good and are waaaaaaay cheaper. What are the benefits to having a high quality hairbrush anyway and what should I look for when buying one?

Hi Lorenzo(I guess that's right?). While some of the Kent handmades are very expensive, I noticed some of the oval military style brushes are a good bit less than $40. I emailed them at Kentbrushes about them and they recommnded that two models not make my list. I have a lot of hair but it's fine stranded. The two brushes they said to avoid have soft bristles. I'll have to look at their site to see if I can remember which ones they were. I've heard nothing but good about Kent brushes.
Regards, Todd
