does the post-cream and tonic replace a/s?

Just wondering as I use that step (alum, splash) mostly for its disinfecting purposes. Would it dry out my skin and counteract the post-shave products?

I would say try it with, then without, and see what works best for you.

The tonic and conditioner are intended to replace the moisture lost from the shaving process. They make your skin look and feel great. There is nothing "disinfecting" about them. I guess theoretically they coudl be used with other A/S routines, but they are not intended to.
