Unsuccessful First Lather with a Kent BK8

    Thread Starter: Havok305

So, I thought I was getting pretty good at lathering Tabac, D.R. Harris, Proraso with my Tweezerman badger brush. I mean I am about 3 weeks in. Getting some decent stuff. Nothing the XXX lather porn I see here, but Skinemax type lather. My Kent BK8 just came in. Really anxious to try the...

    Cole Haan Shoe Restoration

    Thread Starter: beginish

Inspired by johnniegold's restorations of his Aldens by B. Nelson and Alden, I decided to search out a restoration for a pair of well-worn, poorly cared for Cole Haan Split Toe dress/office shoes that I've had for about 5 years. I did a little web searching and discovered that Cole Haan offers...

    AoS Silvertip and B&B boar.

    Thread Starter: plato

Hey guys... So I just got a new silvertip brush from Art of Shaving as a gift (part of the lavender set). My first brush was a "pure" badger Parker brush and while it was OK, it was a little scratchy and would shed ALOT. I recently bought a B&B boar that I just can't get the funky smell off....

Tried out a boar bristle brush

    Thread Starter: Larch

I was at a drugstore and saw that they had Omega Boar brushes and thought what the heck I'll try it out. I was under the assumption that they were scratchy on the face but was I wrong! It felt so soft when I was lathering up my face, not a hint of scritchyness. I can't wait to use it again.

While in Buffalo over the weekend, I picked up a bow tie at Macy's for $18 (after 60% discount; sweet). SWMBO bought it for me to "hush me up" but never expected that I would actually wear it. :tongue_sm Had fun last night trying to tie it, but gave it another shot this morning and Badda-Bing...

Well gentlemen, it's time for another great week! I'm starting off the week with a Japanese western style straight, some vintage Yardley, and a vintage Fuller brush. Who could ask for more to start off a new week?

Gillette NEW ID Request, DE Opinions wanted

Hi all, I am borrowing a NEW from a friend because I was hoping to try something slightly more aggressive than what I had been using. Here is a picture of the underside of the base plate. The handle that comes with it is the ball end. I checked the image in this thread but did not find one that...
