what is your opinion on buying a used but cleaned brush? Any thoughts? Autoclave?

    Thread Starter: inspectoring

I am curious and just wanted to get an opinion - I am buying a simpson chubby 1 super used - should I just cough up the extra dough and go for a brand new one?

So, how many of you keep a beard? clean shaven? mustache? facial hair combo?

    Thread Starter: George L. Lara

I was wondering, since it sounds like many of you guys shave off all the facial hair. I keep a neatly trimmed beard (about a #2 on the clipper scale). Sometimes a full goatee. But never clean shaven.

    Why Weber?

    Thread Starter: PDman

I see high praise for the Weber DE's from members. What is it about the Razor that makes it so loved and such a good shaver vs others it is commonly compared to? I realize the same can be asked of any popular and favored razor...but I'm considering buying this one. Thanks all.

What Sound Do You Love To Hear?

    Thread Starter: SteveWY

Living in such a digital world, we sometimes get disconnected by the real and audible world around us. I have been listening to the rain today and the singing of the birds recently. I was wondering what the gentlemen at the "Barbershop" enjoy hearing. What do you love to hear? Do certain sounds...

    Doc226's Restoration: An Appreciation

Almost a year ago, I bought a used T-I blade with sculpted spine for ~20 euros in a flea market in France. The scales were pretty shabby, so I ordered some pre-made T-I replacement scales thinking they would fit. Well, they didn't. And not knowing how to make an angled wedge for custom...

Silvertip Fibre V2 VS Black Fibre

    Thread Starter: piett

Hello Gents. Since there is a new version of Silvertip Fibre brush (v2), how would you compare it to the Black Fibre brush? I'm interested especially in softness of the tips, if the new version is significantly softer than old one? Is black fibre still softer (I can't imagine softer tips...

    It's a gusher!

    Thread Starter: chrisf8657

In my rush to get ready for Church this morning, I cut myself REALLY bad on my lip/moutache area. Couldn't stop the bleeding for about 20 minutes, even with a bunch of styptic... Any of you ever had that one (or more) cut that was a gusher?

    What do I need?

    Thread Starter: purerockfury

So I am thinking it might be easier for me to get into straight razor shaving by making one, or in this case modifying one. I seen all the posts about the Gold Dollar razors and what people can do with them and thought "wow, this may be a way for me to have a decent looking and working shaver"....
