Description:

With a slogan like, "Real Shaving: always a pleasure, never a chore", how could I not be interested in this stuff?
I found it on sale for $7.00 (Canadian) but according to the R.S. Co. website, the stuff retails for £3.99, so to go with a great slogan, the price was right.
This cream has an interesting and pleasant scent (nothing to write home about, but nice none the less) and can easily be whipped into a beautiful lather (see photos below). The packaging is a little ho hum (a plastic tube like KMF or The Body Shop - only less attractive), but that really isn't that important (to me, that is).
My complaint about this shave cream is that the lather is very "light" and I didn't find it to be overly lubricating or moisturizing. I don't expect that the RS Co will make it into frequent rotation in my bathroom, but you never know; this may be something that somebody else would think is the best thing since sliced bread.
A little cream in my bowl...
After about 10 or so swirls...

A little more water and some more swirling...
Meringue like? Well, it looks pretty good to me...

Have another look...

Painting my hand (about 5 strokes)...

I just bought a tube for $6 at my local TJX store and used it once so far.
My particular cream is a moisturizing kind with Tee Tree oil which has antibacterial and antiseptic qualities which is what attracted me to this cream in the first place.
I am not too crazy about the scent which is a little on a citrusy and medicinal side but I would not call it totally unpleasant. I am new to wet shaving and I found the shaving instructions on the packaging very helpful. In fact, I think it is strange that all the creams and soaps I acquired so far such as Taylor, C&E, Pru DE Provence etc. do not bother to include a few instructions on the packaging on how best to use their product.
The Real Shaving Co. site http://www.realshaving.com/index.cfm also includes some good tips on shaving such as importance of using a short and SLOW stroke while shaving.
This cream lathers well and my skin feels just fine and does not even require an aftershave.
I think it is not bad at all.

I picked up all three variants, moisturising, cooling and sensitive, from Boots in the UK when they where doing a voucher offer and each 150ml tube cost me just £1.49! (US$3.00 inc tax).
With all the other "cheap" creams I have tried; Proraso, Palmolive and Ingram they all have that thick soapy sort of lather which personally I am not a fan of. However The Real Shaving Co. is made by the same people, Creightons, who make Trumpers and as such the lather is much more like the 3T's etc.
The scent is a very pleasant modern sort of fragrance that would make quite a nice aftershave. The quality of the lather is very good for such a low cost product but it is not quite as good being, like the original reviewer said, a bit on the thin side. Otherwise I have been very impressed with all other aspects of these creams however one final point I am completely unable to tell any discernible difference between the three variations.

I bought a tube of the sensitive variety and love it. The scent is very nice although I cant pin point it to a single element. I also bought the cooling balm definitely worth 10$ as well. Great line with a great slogan.

This was my first cream i lathered with a brush. Its an okay cream but I recently gotten Trufitt and Hill to compare to, and it really doesnt compare. Thats why the results are so low.
So, its better than canned goo, but go for truefitt and hill if you can get it.
It did not moisturize my skin at all and i found it difficult to lather. You cannot add that much water without it turning to slop.
I know its made by the same company but really they pay much more attention to the others and not Real Shaving.
Would I recomend it? I certainly would use it before I would use a canned shaving foam.

ANother great cream that's now available in some drugstores here in Montreal.
Pierce, this cream requires a different cream/ratio than other ones
-Scent : same as their balm; however after a shave, it leaves a different scent on my brush, that reminds of one of the FLoris creams
- Skincare: the Cocoa Butter is great for the shave and the skin, and the Tea Tree Oil really helps with irritation
- Price: Great for a cream made by Creighton's

Picked this up at the local drugstore. A little on the pricey side ($9/150ml) but I'm developing a bit of SCAD; Kiss My Face Unscented has been my go-to and there's a tube of Proraso Green collecting dust...
Lathered well and quickly, but as above seemed a little on the thin side (though the Proraso was always finicky and even thinner for me).
The scent immediately struck me as piney, but more the kind you hang in your rear-view instead of fresh cut... It's actually detectable over my aftershave but it isn't exactly unpleasant; maybe something you'd smell at the club.
I'll probably stick with the Kiss My Face because it doesn't interfere with the aftershave, being unscented and all, but this would be perfect for a travel kit or backup (I'm always afraid the pump is going to disengage on the KMF and get my bag messy...)

I bought this, like a few others from Boots in the UK. I think I paid the standard price, which is probably under $6 worth when converted.
I could instantly see the similarities between the consistency of this and the creams from the 3Ts.
On using this initially I found it to lather quite well with not too much effort, however for me the smell is certainly nothing to write home about.
I went for the 'sensitive' version, but am not convinced that the others are much different if at all.
Overall if you'd like a cheap(ish) cream that is similar to the 3Ts but you don't mind that the scent is not up to the scratch of them, then this could be for you. It gets used occasionally by me, but is far from part of my regular rotation. For less money I would opt for Ingrams for sure, cooler and fresher and better lather.

Well this is a very good quality cream that you can buy at Rite Aid in the states for $9. Comparing it to the only other $9 cream I have (Proraso) this gives a richer lather, with a lot less effort. It is thick and creamy like the high end creams but there is one thing that I can't get past, the smell. It isn't nice. It is a great product in every other aspect and it has given me several great shaves, and the better lather was a lot more forgiving than Proraso but with all my recent SCAD I can't justify using a cream if I don't like the smell, there just not enough shaves in a week. This will stay in my collection but it won't see a lot of action. If you are looking for the best cream in a national drugstore chain, this would be my pick and for $9 it is worth trying anyway.

I picked this up the local rite-aid for about $7. Ive been using soaps and did enjoy those (Williams and VDH) but man i love the smell of this stuff(so does my wife)!!
Its very light and has a Barber shop like smell! Its very thick right out the tube so you kinda have to sweep it off the end with your brush! Lathers OK but takes some work(im using a boar brush.I sometimes preload my brush with williams and the combo makes a SUPERLATHER!!! ) may get better results with a nice BBB!
Once you build the lather you get a decent amount enough for several passes, lather is thick but tends to dry easily (I am a SLOW shaver!!)Very moisturizing and no irritation,Soothing feel also helps fight razor burn and bumps(ON me anyway)!!
I really like this product and will keep it in my rotation for sometime to come! This is a good product that can be used everyday(save the 3 T's for something special) and not hurt the pocketbook!

$4.99 at Rite Aid. How can you beat that? I bought the last one at my local Rite Aid, tried it, and drove a little to get some more.
I lathers well for me and I get that cushiony effect from it. Feels like I've used a balm after the shave.
The scent isn't very interesting, but it doesn't clash with anything.
The packaging is fine, but it isn't something you'd leave on the counter to dazzle guests with.
At the $5 price point, it's hard to argue with this as an everyday product. I'd look elsewhere for fun scents and sensations, but this stuff shaves great and leaves my face feeling nice.

I recently stated using this stuff and I have been through about 3 tubes of this stuff. I picked it up at rite aid here in the states for about 5-8 dollars a tube. I love this stuff. Im using a cheap brush it lathers very nice and it dose a great job on the skin. I would save my money on some of the higher priced brands and give this stuff a try, so far is been working for me. A++ product.

This is a great budget minded cream, that performs at the same level as TOBS, but at about half, or less of the cost. It's available for $4.99 at Rite Aid.
I think this is wonderful stuff, and my only real complaint, is that I am not in love with the scent. The scent is very unique, and hard to pinpoint. I think it has a woodsy, earthy type of smell. The smell is not as luxurious as TOBS Rose for example.
Still, I find no reason not to highly recommend this to any budget minded individual.

Grabbed a tube of this at my local Rite-Aid to take on vacation, figuring I could build lather in my hand and then on my face. I was happy with the results and it will get a spot in my rotation (for now).
