Description: Alpa Windsor from the old country. Hard to find here in the UK as only a few vendors stock or carry it. Anyhow an old school smell of lilac mixed with violets and baby powder. Its got a whole lotta alcohol so it burns off quickly leaving a gentle manly but gentle smell on the skin. Not the longest smell to linger but not as short as some.

Description: This is my first review so I apologize if it's not in the correct format. I just had to post this as I've searched this site and haven't yet seen anyone mention this product. It's advertised as an aloe spray but on the directions they mention a few different uses (one of which is a pre-shave and an aftershave). I think it works extremely well as an aftershave. It calms your skin down and immediately reduces any redness/irritation. I have very sensitive skin so being unscented is ideal for me. You basically just spray (about 2 sprays) into your hands and then rub into your face. It feels very soothing (no tingling as there is no alcohol or menthol/etc). After researching the product, it actually helps your skin retain moisture. I've noticed my skin looks better than ever after using this (and it's only about $8 for 8 oz.). I have my wife using this as well and she loves it and bought about 5 the other day and gave some to her friends and my mom. Hope this helps those looking for a good, light, aftershave for sensitive skin. :)

Description: So far so good! This is a very inexpensive product that is effective in combating razor burn, ingrown hair and dry skin. Smells like cucumbers tho:/ but the aroma does faint fast. I have heard lots of members talk about Witch Hazel products and thought I could give it a go and I am happy with the product. I use it very generously every morning regardless if I shave or not. Also at $8 a bottle, and a pretty large bottle, it will last awhile. Highly would recommend it. 9.5 Out if 10, for the aroma, tho not a deal breaker by any means.

Description: Gentlemen, what a fantastic product! Priced at around $30 a bottle this is well worth the cost, and I find it relatively cheaper than other; fumy-smelling aftershaves. Moisturizes very well and has a very nostalgic aroma that lasts all day long without overpowering your company. The smell is smooth and refreshing, with notes of cedar & sandalwood oils. With just a small splash going along way in the morning it leaves my face feeling wonderfully supple, cool and revived. I can see this bottle (100ml) going quite a long way. I would rate the product overall 10 out of 10, for the quality and aroma is guaranteed to bring up old memories of your fathers and grandfathers.

Description: I like the Art of Shaving products because they are easy to get locally. I came across the aftershave gel and thought I would give it a try. I asked the sales associate at the AOS what the difference between the aftershave balm and the gel and he explained the gel is more for summer months and does not contain shea butter. There is a slight sting with this gel that fades fast and the gel is a little greasy. The greasiness goes away after a few minutes and the skin stays moisturized throughout the day. I really like this aftershave gel and would buy it again. The price is the same as their aftershave balm and the packaging as well.

Description: This is a fairly new product of an old classic, and it's made right here in the U.S.A. Krampert's Bay Rum, I really like this stuff. Bay rum to me is not a summer aftershave as I go for the blast of cool but I find my self going back to it. Price: Not the cheapest aftershave but fairly priced, see link for pricing. Quality: Yep, I rate this Bat Rum a 10, and it lasts longer than most aftershaves on the market. Fights Razor Burn: It has a built in Moisturizer that works great, another 10. Sent: Ok, this is where it gets interesting, it's not a typical Bay Rum sent. While it is a Bay Rum it has other spice notes that makes it warm yet mild. Not too strong. Hey, my wife likes it, most Bay Rums not so. Efficacy: Not greasy or sticky but does feel good. You do need to shake it as it will settle. Moisturizing: Yep, see above They also make a, what they call a "shave enhancer", I used it this morning with my straight, mix's with soap easily and is pretty slick, I like this stuff also. I do know Mr. Krampert as an on-line buddy but I have no ties to his product other than being a guinea pig for him while he was developing his product. Also he lives in Maine and I live in California. I do want to meet him one day, maybe eat a few lobster too.

Description: There are several reasons why I use this after shave. Back when I didn't know how to shave and used the wrong products (like those extra sharp double edge blades, I use Persona now and am going to switch to a straight razor in the future) I would never consider this. However, after conquering all that I have realized that I just don't need any of these balms or any aftershave that is ultra moisturizing. Back when I had those shaving problems Then Sharps is also oil-free and free of drying alcohols, which for me all cause zits. So since it is the best product I have found so far for my skin, and the fact that it is made in the USA it is now my number one aftershave.

Description: This was a recent bargain find in the UK supermarket chain Tesco. I came across it when perusing the world foods aisle in search of some black onion seeds. I'd coincidentally read a favorable review on some brand name rose water extract balm the previous day and thought for a pound, it was worth a punt. Value wise it's excellent at �1 for 600ml. If you can find a better way of dispensing it than just pouring it from the hefty plastic bottle itself, it could well last you a year with daily shaving. Ingredient list typing mustn't have cost much at the printers as it only contains 2 things; spring water and rosa damascena. You can't say that about many cosmetic products these days. In saying that, I did find it next to some tins of decidedly dodgy looking smoked herring so perhaps it's not being marketed as a beauty aid. Performance is spot on from my experience. A thin covering over the shaved areas of a towel dry face gives a completely pain free toning experience. No contorted faces and loudly muttered expletives like when applying a cologne. It clears up weepers and minor nicks when dry which is usually after about 30 seconds of applying it. The scent is perhaps a little sticky sweet and musty on first use, but it's fairly innocuous and certainly won't interfere with any cologne you may want to finish off with. Overall it's a natural, cheap and readily available toner/astringent that leaves your skin feeling smooth, taught and healthy; perfectly followed by a dab of moisturiser or balm. I wouldn't recommend sticking any of the other stuff down that particular aisle on your face, unless that is your partner likes a bloke who smells of pickled fish or curry paste!

Description: After saving a coupon for this, I have been looking for this new lotion. Here is what is on the front of the plastic 16 oz. pump bottle. "Lubriderm", "dermatoligist developed", Men's 3-IN-1 Lotion", "Body, Face & Post-Shave Lotion", Light Fragrance", "Triple action formula moisturizes, improves and soothes skin", "Aloe-enriched formula helps soothe skin after shaving", Light, fast absorbing formula". Since this is new, I tried to find this at our local CVS, Rite Aid, and Wegman's stores. I finally found it at Walmart. I assume the other stores should carry it soon. Cost was under $7 before the coupon I used so for a 16 oz. bottle, I gave cost a 10 rating. Lubriderm has a good reputation for all of their lotions and if you look at the ingredients, this is a good quality lotion. It is easily adsorbed by my skin. If you go too heavily, it will leave your skin a little tacky for a while until it is adsorbed. Fragrance is hard to score. It is a very pleasant "light" fragrance and does not last long. If you are looking for a heavy fragrance that lasts a long time, you will need to add something else on top of this. Some fragrances bother my allergies so I would give the fragrance a high score for being light. Someone else may give it a lower score for not being a heavy enough fragrance. It does a very good job of soothing the skin after shaving. For those of you who like to see Aloe in the ingredients, this is a plus. I also tried it on the rest of my face as a moisturizer and it works for that also. Probably not as cooling as an alcohol based AS so I only gave it a 7 but I prefer the non-alcohol AS. This is my first review so I thought it should be on a product that hasn't been reviewed here before. In summary under $7 for a 1 pint bottle of AS Balm (lotion per Lubriderm) that works great is hard to beat. Only downside is it will take forever to use it all up so when do we try all of these other AS available out there.

It is not sold as an aftershave, but it sure does do everything an aftershave does and more! To make it even better, this product is sold at Bath and Body Works in your local mall, no buying online and waiting. Price - $12 for a 6.3 oz bottle. The bottle itself is not much of a looker (slightly transparent blue plastic). If you really care about the looks, you can keep it inside your medicine cabinet or put it into a better looking bottle if you really care that much. Quality - If you watch Mantic's videos you will find that this produce has all the ingredients that he says to look for in a toner (Witch Hazel, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Aloe, and Salicylic Acid) Razor Burn - I get slight razor burn if I do not use an after shave and I tend to go for the liquid toners because they are lighter on the skin and I NEVER get razor burn when using this product Cooling - When I put this product on my face I feel maybe a light cooling sensation from the aloe. There is a slight burn from the alcohol in the product, but I take that as a sign of cleaning my pores. Scent - There is a SLIGHT Rosemary scent to this product but you hardly notice it at all unless you smell the product in the bottle. If you want a scent, put on your favorite cologne afterwards to get your desired scent. Efficacy - This stuff is pretty thin and light in consistency. When I pour it onto my hands, it looks like water, except for the blue tint. It does not have the thick feeling that most balms have on your face. Overall efficacy is probably an 8, as some people will need a bit more moisture while some will need a bit less. This stuff works very well for me yearround and I've found it's pretty flexible. I can use less in the summer and still get good performance out of it, and I can use more in the winter and stave off any dry patches. Moisturizing - This product does not really offer any moisturizing properties but works perfectly if you have normal, oily, or combination skin. No Alcohol burn - Like I already stated, there is a slight burn from the alcohol but it does not last very long. Lastly, would I buy it again? Hell yeah! It's GREAT stuff and works perfectly for me.
