For many years Badger & Blade has hosted a Gold Dollar mod competition. For those of you who don't know razor makers take an inexpensive Gold Dollar 66 straight razor and turn it into something beautiful and shave-ready. You may start your project no earlier than May 1. We'll open a new thread then for people to commit to the challenge and to show their progress. On July 1 participants put their grinders down and show off their work. The populace of B&B then votes on the best modification. You can find the threads on previous year's competition here.
Gold Dollar 66 razors don't seem as plentiful as in the past, but they are out there. If you can't find them, please ask. Others can often point you in the right direction.
