Tabac Shaving cream: Tallow, or new ingredients?

Amazon seems to be selling this version still if you look at the site listing for Tabac Original.

Often, sellers have no clue Tabac dropped tallow and are selling the vegan unaware. I had many vegan sent to me, when the sellers' website stated it was the tallowed. I still managed to get my hands on about twelve porcelaine tallowed containers.

So why exactly did they drop the tallow? More importantly, why couldn't they source a tallow soap-producing third-party maker? I suspect it has to do with the politics of tallow.
