A wonderful actress passed away yesterday. She received an Academy Award for her portrayal of Nurse Ratched in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. RIP Louise.

I just saw a clip of her Oscar acceptance speech, acknowledging all of the support of her parents, both of whom were deaf. For someone who carried the burden of playing really unlikeable characters like Nurse Ratched and Kai Winn, you have to be both a good and strong person to pull that off. RIP, Ms Fletcher.
