Ralph Lauren Safari soap back in circulation?

I just picked up a bottle of the cologne (EdT) and it brought back memories of summer 1995, when I first got a bottle. It's a great scent from a designer house and the bottle is just totally cool. The soap can't be that bad either - it's made with tallow.

I've always wanted to try it. Not familiar with the scent or performance though.... only its reputation for being another great discontinued soap.

Some people told me back when I had a ton of the stuff that it was the same/similar to AoS. I found that believable, the performance was right about the same for me. Solid soap, but not one that I kept for myself. Neither were AOS soaps to be honest. It's definitely a solid, usable soap, but I wouldn't bend over backwards to try it if you've tried similar hard soaps (AOS, Valobra, C&S). Some people really love the scent. I found it agreeable, but I tend to prefer scents with fewer notes if not single-note ones over the perfume-house blends.
