Last week, Nepal has been devastated by a massive 7.8-magnitude Earthquake that also triggered landslides and the death toll can not be measured yet.

To the nation of Nepal (to include tourists and/other visitors).

I hope everyone can keep Nepal and their families in your thoughts, cares and prayers because they'll be in for a rough patch (and aftershocks), in the next days, weeks, months and years to come.

"The news is a funny thing.

What seems like the “be all, end all” story of the week — say, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that claims thousands of lives, traps thousands more in rubble and leaves a scene of destruction on the tallest mountain on the planet — can so easily vanish from front pages and news site home pages in the wake of a larger story close to home.

The rioting in Baltimore, of course, was that larger story. And the extensive coverage of such a troubling scene certainly is understandable.

But one can’t hit the pause button on the catastrophe in Nepal, and we should not forget about the great need in that small, devastated country.

Days after the earthquake, public figures were estimating a death toll that could reach, and perhaps surpass, 10,000. While the capital city of Kathmandu was close to the earthquake’s epicenter, many rural villages were destroyed or even swept away by resulting landslides".
