I plan on buying a 44 mag backpacking revolver in the future so I’m hoping 2 guns one caliber. 45 colt is a cool round. Ruger only offered 44 or 357 in the carbine I bought.I had a Marlin 1894 in 44 Mag when along with my Super Blackhawk Hunter in the same caliber. It was a fun cartridge and easy to load down to 44 Special for plinking. I also had the same setup in 45 Colt and found myself shooting the 45 Colt most often so I sold off my 44 Mags.
