In honour of my new hat arrival, I decided to work against the heat, and muster a Taylors of Old Bond St sandalwood shave and take a self portrait.

Of course, my selfies aren't shoving a smartphone in the air. Sony A6000, Remote app controlled on my smartphone, Rotolight RL48 led light to my right.

Now, let's see you lot with exquistite smoothness on those chins!

Damn, all my years in telecom and I didn't know an RJ-2 cable could transmit data packets! OK, so I'm rarely ever clean-shaven, but I DO keep a well-trimmed beard (ahem):
