C.V Heljestrand 7 day set lather Cather & Magnus strop

What model/type do you think this is guys? Stainless or plated. I'm not totally clued up on these razors.

This one is my keeper and cost a pretty penny.

IIRC, there was either chrome-plated brass or silver plated brass. I have the same set, but clearly earlier with more wear. They are delightful shavers, especially if you can find an Allegro E sharpener.

I had one of those sharpeners don't tell me they sharpen these wedges,lol.. Sold it!

To be fair I don't find it hard to hone these blades on my stones though.

Ouch! Once the edge is set, you can rehab the leather part of the strop on the Model E with WD-40 and add some diamond paste, and gently square the hone-pads on a diamond plate. Once done, you can keep a wicked edge very easily.

You're right, trying to start with the Allegro would be brutal!
