Any thoughts on the Android automatics ?

Hmm. Simple, handsome... The Miyota 8205 movement ain't bad at all... 200m water resistance is handy (that 600m WR listed by Amazon is erroneous)... The only negative for me is that I'm not a huge fan of the first 15 seconds being done in yellow, because that gives it the appearance of a functional rotating encased dive bezel, which apparently the watch does not have... non-functional design features that mimic actual functions are a pet peeve of mine with watches...

All in all, if you like it, go for it. Simple, handsome piece that should keep decent time. I would suggest that for $100-$200, there are a wide selection of Seikos that offer you more watch for the dollar on a purely functional level... Whether or not you like the look of them is another thing entirely. Here's one...

They are very big on the NBC shop site. As I recall they are assembled and mostly sourced in China. I was never impressed with them. I think you can do better with a Citizen or Seiko or even an Invicta.

It has a functional internal rotating bezel...the top crown turns it internally.

That's just marketing hype. Invicta makes millions of watches a year and since they seem to be a very healthy outfit their customers seem to be very happy with them or they would be out of business.

Nice! They should really list that in the specs... I checked several sites, no mention of that. One site was even set up in such a way that all possible watch specs are listed in a row, with the specifics listed to the right... Bezel was listed as "fixed"... Between that and the failure to mention it on the other sites, I just assumed... Particularly at that price point. Now I think it's simple, handsome, and functional.
