alternative to Kent hair combs?

I've been using combs from Kent Brushes for a long time. They used to be perfect - smoothly going through your hair and all, and affordable at that. Now I bought two new ones, and they're horrible, as if they were engineered to cut dozens of bleeding lines into your scalp.

Most drug-store combs are like that, though not all are that bad, so I'm very reluctant to buy anything online.

Has anyone a good recommendation for combs that don't scratch?

I wouldn't give up on Kent just yet. The majority of their combs are cut acetate but they do have a number of economy combs that are not. Did you per chance end up with one of the latter?

Chicago Comb, available in stainless, titanium and carbon.
I have a stainless nr. 3 for about 4 years

2T, same model I had before. I've had or given to others something like five of those over the years, and they were not sharp like this one.

I got it right from them, through their website.

You should try contacting them. They were quite helpful when vegan shaving soap was unknowingly sent to clients (Mitchel’s, maker of the soap, changed the formulation without informing Kent). I am certain they will make it right.
