Just had the pleasure of sampling a bowl of Tashkent, a Turkish (Izmir) and Latakia blend by Peretti of Boston. And it was delicious! My first oriental! Smooth, creamy, subtle sweetness with slight spiciness like ginger and cinnamon in curry. Rich tasting; not vague. The Latakia (which I am just learning about) seemed to be there in the woodiness but not bitey or overpowering. Cool smoke! Looking forward to my next bowl!
