Pure Badger Hair Hand-knotted, made by Vulfix (?) Bought on Amazon for $23.50. Trimmed tips make for a stiffer tip, but still easily soft enough for bowl or hand lathering and soft enough for most to face lather. Loads and lathers very well. Did not lose many bristles at all. Handle is cheap, light plastic (molded, not turned). Ink on it looks like it ran and is very poor. Very happy for first brush at $23.50.
