Sunday Afternoon Shave :: April 3, 2016

WSP Monarch silvertip
Rockwell 6s / Rockwell blade (4)
Thayer's Witch Hazel Lavender
Krampert's Finest Acadian Spiced Rum AS
Nivea ASB

This early afternoon shave was my fourth use of the Rockwell and the same for the blade. The Citrus Blast is WSP's new soap, which I received last week. Allergies are wrecking my sense of smell so I can't really appreciate what seems to me a delicate, subtle aroma rather than a rush of citrus fragrances. The voluminous lather was rich, cushiony, slick and peaky. Unlike previous uses of the Rockwell I wasn't too impressed with the initial WTG pass but the weighty razor and steel edge made up for it in the next two passes. Another BBS. The plate this shave was the "2"; I've already flipped it so "4" will be my next shave with it. I'm looking forward to that shave and wondering how many comfortable shaves I can get from the blade.
