Great shave this morning, decided to bring out my MWF which had been set back in my rotation (use most of the time P160, Cella, Proraso) and what a great feeling was to be re-acquainted with this lovely soap. Slick, rich, moisturizing lather and the simple clean scent is just what I needed this morning. Looks like MWF is back in weekly rotation!

Kinda rough shave. Probably shouldn't have tried to stretch that cartridge out any further.

Results: Found this razor on a used/antique marked last weekend, it's one of the few Norwegian made straights and was really excited about it, but the excitement didn't last for long I started to get worried when I was honing it, had a hard time getting it to take an edge, but finally it was popping armhair almost 1/2 inch over the skin. Lathered up some Sandalwood cream with my new arrived Thäter (An amazing brush!! A lather machine with super soft tips ) and got to work, the first stroke was fine, from there it just went south, at the fourth stroke it barely cut at all, the razors simply couldnt hold the edge, I guess it have lost it's temper sometime the last 150 years, bummer!! Since I was a little worried about the edge I had my, also fresh honed, Crown & Sword lying at the shelf, grabbed it and finished the shave with great results.

Post Shave: GFT Skin Food 'Coral'

I was far too quick in dismissing Valobra. Despite is being menthol free as far as i'm concerned, the lather this soap produces is superb.

Polished this razor yesterday, scaled it today, honed it this afternoon, shaved with it this evening. A very smooth and gratifying shave! Smooth as glass and twice as sharp. Have a great weekend all!!
